Regulations of Master Degrees Examination





 

 

Department of Physical Therapy, NCKU Regulations of Graduation Examination for Graduate Students
  Article 1 Department of Physical Therapy (hereinafter "the Department") formulates the Master's Degree Examination Regulations (hereinafter "the Regulations")for the Department in accordance with NCKU Rules and Regulations of Graduation Examination for Graduate Students.

  Article 2

Graduate students in the master's program of the Department who have completed at least twenty-four credits (including the courses required by the Department) and have passed the courses may apply for a master's degree examination.
  Article 3 The application for the master's degree examination shall be approved by the thesis advisor, and one printed copy of the thesis, one transcript, and five abstracts shall be prepared and submitted in the designated format to the Department at least two weeks before the examination date.
  Article 4 The master’s degree examination committee shall consist of 3 to 5 members, and the qualifications of the committee members shall comply with the Department’s Appointment Regulations for Master's Degree Examination Committee.
  Article 5 The members of the master's degree examination committee shall be recommended by the thesis advisor and approved by the Department Chair and the President of NCKU.
  Article 6 All members of the Examination Committee must attend the committee meeting in person, and are prohibited from appointing other people as their proxies. The master's degree examination committee meeting may be held after at least three members are present.
  Article 7 Under the graduation examination scores, a score of 100 shall be identified as a full mark and a score of 70 as passing. The evaluation shall be conducted no more than once and decided by the average scores given by the present members, provided that the decision to pass shall be subject to two-thirds or more of the present members.
  Article 8 Students who fail the examination may retake the examination in the next semester or next year prior to the expiration of their study periods, no more than once.
  Article 9 Should the thesis contain plagiarized material or constitute some other form of fraud, the student shall be determined to have failed the examination upon confirmation of the master examination committee.
  Article 10 Should the thesis contain plagiarized material or constitute some other form of fraud, the degree conferred shall be canceled and the academic degree certificate already awarded to him/her shall be recalled.
  Article 11 The Regulations shall be implemented after being approved by the Department Affairs Council and forwarded to the College of Medicine for approbation. The same shall apply to all subsequent amendments.
  The Regulations were translated from the original Chinese. In the event of any discrepancies between the two versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
